Wow, It's been a REALLY long time since I've written on this blog!! I have to apologize for being quite lazy lately, and putting more emphasis on my more formal
veuda.com blog.
Well, it's been the absolutely fab summer days here at Penn... actually I haven't been at school since I've been working at
KlingStubbins. It's just a couple of blocks down the street on Chestnut, and I've been enjoying it a lot. The firm is really big and their work is actually pretty good, as it has been trying to move to more design-intensive projects vs the old box with curtain wall systems. By the time you read this though, I would've finished my last week there. Summer flies!!!!!
As for work, I've been concentrating on a project for a pharmaceutical outside of Boston (the rest of the info is confidential, so I can't tell you, dear blog reader). I've been sort of going back and forth between physical models and Revit, which I have to say is quite a fabulous program for arch practice. It works with parametric modeling, so once you model something, it can produce all the drawings (plans, sections, elev's) for you. Of course, I won't work with the uber-lizardtecture of Penn, but it works well with the conventional building.
I'm really glad to get back to school... It's been quite a while and I miss my friends and the vibe of classes. 600-level here I come!
