The Deutsches Reichstag
The German Parliament, built by Lord Norman Foster of the UK (architect of the Hongkong Bank Headquarters, Hong Kong) sought a contemporary expression for the venue in this war-torn country. Taking a great departure from the original Reichstag, Foster introduced a dome made of steel and glass, open to the public.
